Adado Maktabad
A Library for Iftiin in Somalia.
The library's design takes inspiration from the tradition of gathering and learning under the shade of a tree, a common practice in Somali culture and around the world.
This concept informs a layout where the library’s spaces are arranged to encourage knowledge-sharing and community engagement.
The design includes a variety of spaces, such as galleries, cafés, reading rooms, and innovation hubs, balancing areas for interaction and quiet study. By combining indoor and outdoor spaces, the library provides a flexible environment that supports different learning styles and activities.
